No Snow in Summer Part 9

27th August, 2011

With all this talk of great weather in a Hakuba summer why wouldnt you want to take to the skies?!?

There are 2 ways to do this and you can book either through your accommodation.

I personnaly think the paragliding is the better of the 2 with its adrenilin pumping first run down the slope of Happo Ski area till you get airborne then you just float off the ground....the view is sensational and on a clear day you can see Nagano city, the Japan Sea and nearly all the way to Matsumoto!! It costs around Y10,000 for a tandem ride with a guide.

For the slightly less adventurous there are balloon rides that take you soaring up above Hakuba to get the same incredible views as from the paragliders.

Happy flying!!
