Steps to your Hakuba Accommodation

Maybe what you're thinking is that he means the steps I have to take to book my Hakuba accommodation.....NOT SO!!! What I'm talking about is the fact that in December you have to walk UP the steps to get into your accommodation but by mid to late January you have to walk DOWN the snow steps to get into your Hakuba accommodation....I just love that...the whole landscape is changed by the snow...Hakuba looks totally different in Summer to Winter and just one of those differences is that the whole town rises a metre or so in elevation from sea-level for about 3 months a year!!
