Japan is home to over 500 ski areas, spread throughout the mountainous interior of the country. The best of these resorts is Hakuba, located an hours drive west of the 1998 Winter Olympics host city, Nagano, or 350kms from Tokyo. There are 14 ski areas here, joined in various ways to create six large resorts and a few smaller ones - something for everyone!  All areas are within a 15 minute drive from Hakuba station. Together they make up the best, most diverse ski resort in Japan.

There are free shuttles from four of the six big resorts and two of the little ones servicing the Echoland, Happo and Wadano areas; the best places to stay.

The best terrain in Japan - bar none - and no crowds!!
