Booking and Payment Terms

Deposit

When we receive an enquiry/booking we will issue a quote to you by email or phone.  When the quote has been accepted a 20% deposit of the total trip needs to be paid to secure your booking.

Your booking is confirmed when:

1. Credit card (Visa and Mastercard only) has been approved – a payment surcharge of 3% applies.
2. Direct debit verification has been sent to us or monies have been accepted in our account - all bank charges known as "correspondent charges" are to be paid by the sender.  This is the responsibility of the customer.

At this time we will require names and addresses of all customers.

On receipt of payment a receipt will be issued.

Final Payment

Final payment is due no later than 60 days prior to guest’s arrival.

On receipt of your final payment you will receive your hotel voucher, itinerary (which includes transfer details if purchased) and receipt.  All other purchased services including Lifts, Rentals, Guiding and Lessons will be presented to you in a "Welcome Pack" at the Hotel upon check in.

Any bookings made within 60 days of arrival require 100% payment.

*NB: Non-payment of deposit or final balance may lead to automatic cancellation. Payment of a deposit constitutes acceptance of our booking terms and conditions.

Please note all transactions are converted to Yen.

 Cancellation fees

If cancelling more than 60 days prior to arrival, a cancellation penalty of 20% of invoice total (loss of deposit - or 50% for some self contained accommodation) will be retained by SnowbedsTravel.com

If cancelling between 60 days and 15 days prior to arrival, then a penalty of 30% of booking invoice total (or 50% for some self contained accommodation) will be retained by SnowbedsTravel.com as cancellation penalty.

If cancelling between 14 days and 8 days prior to arrival, then a penalty of 50% of booking invoice total will be retained by SnowbedsTravel.com as cancellation penalty.

If cancelling less than 7 days prior to arrival, then a penalty of 100% of booking total will be retained by SnowbedsTravel.com as cancellation penalty.

Snowbeds Travel.com shall not be liable in case the booked services are not available due to the occurrence of any event beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, operation of laws, regulations and orders, war, riots, strikes, fire, explosion, accidents, epidemic, earthquake, flood, typhoon or other natural disasters, supplier bankruptcy,overbooking or any other similar cases. 

Amendment fees - these are charged if amendments are made to bookings (eg change of dates or decreasing numbers of people traveling).

Any amendment to a booking (eg change to dates of travel) will incur a 4,000 yen total charge per change.  Date changes can only be made (subject to availability) within the same season should the client wish to change their booking.

If an amendment involving a reduction in the number of persons traveling occurs at any time the above cancellation penalties and terms apply to the person who is cancelling. The package price for the remaining persons will be amended accordingly.

Snowbeds Travel reserves the right to cancel any booking at any time due to anti-social, drunken or unruly behaviour by guests. There will be no refunds in such cases.

Transfers

Transfers are booked to the time nominated by the client.  We require one month minimum notice of your  train arrival time and two months minimum notice of your plane arrival time to guarantee your transfer for your nominated time.  Failure to meet your transfer is the responsibility of the client.  No refund is given for missed transfers.  Return time changes need to be made AT LEAST one day after the day of arrival otherwise these changes can not be made.

Lift Tickets, Rentals, Lessons

Any unused vouchers for Lifts, Rentals and Lessons will not be refunded.

Agreement between Customer and SnowbedsTravel.com

This website is offered to you, the customer by SnowbedsTravel.com Head Office in Australia and the SnowbedsTravel.com branch office in Japan. Your use of this website and/or your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein constitutes your agreement to all such terms, conditions, and notices. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions then you are not authorised to use this website.

Personal and Non-Commercial Use Limitation

This website is for your personal and non-commercial use. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information obtained from this website.
